Budget Bengal

Similar in construction to the Tall Tabby, this gains the label of my "budget" wheelset due to the use of slightly heavier, but still serviceable, Novatec hubs. Don't let the budget label fool you, I have a set of wheels that I purchased 7 years ago with Novatec hubs that are still spinning smoothly after tens of thousands of miles of use.

The standard 20 spoke front wheel and 24 spoke rear wheel combo built to the 28mm tall and 23mm wide rim weighs in around 1570-1620 grams (range due to variations in the manufacturing process of the components) and costs $300. A set built to a more typical 27mm tall and 19mm wide rim is $280 (1515-1565 grams).
